The Project

In particular, the project TRAIT includes 3 macro-areas of activity:

– Development of training materials;
– Implementation of TRAIT model in the field: ToT, pilot courses and follow up sessions with target professionals;
– Dissemination and mainstreaming of the project.

In relation to the explicit context and motivations, TRAIT aims at breaking down barriers and improving access and quality of both health and legal services.

In particular, TRAIT will aim at achieving the following specific objectives:
– to arrive at the description of units of learning outcomes that can be evaluated and, therefore, used in the description and evaluation of professional profiles;
– increase professionals‘ knowledge and skills on LGBTQ issues;
– reduce secondary victimization, prejudice, stereotypes and discrimination towards TI;
– increase the population’s awareness of LGBTQ .

To this end, TRAIT will create a multidisciplinary training model aimed at different professionals (medical specialists, general practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, nurses, judges and lawyers), who in various capacities provide assistance to TI.

This will contribute to both flexibility and innovation in vocational education and training.
